Real Madrid’s Pepe & Schalke’s Jefferson Farfan to miss Champions League quarter-final return matches

Real Madrid centre-back Pepe and Schalke winger Jefferson Farfan will miss the return legs of the Champions League quarter-finals for their respective sides.
Pepe was shown the yellow card after 36 minutes in Madrid’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Bernabeu tonight for a cynical challenge on Gareth Bale as the Welshman raced away down the left flank. The Portugal international will now serve a one-match suspension.
Peter Crouch will be unavailable for Tottenham in the return at White Hart Lane after he was given his marching orders at the Bernabeu just 15 minutes into the match for two bookable offences.
Defending European champions Inter lost 5-2 to Schalke in Milan in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, and they have also lost defender Cristian Chivu for the second leg. The Romanian was shown two yellow cards in quick succession in the second-half.
Schalke too have a suspension for the return leg in Germany as Farfan got his fifth yellow card of the competition on the stroke of half-time.
