SMART Introduces Next Generation Interactive Whiteboard System

SMART Technologies Inc, a leading provider of collaboration solutions, announces the fifth-generation SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard system.

The new interactive whiteboard system, featuring the ultra-short-throw standard SMART UF75 or widescreen SMART UF75w projectors, is available with the SMART Board 400i, 600i and 800i series. The SMART UF75 offers a bright, crisp image and is the first projector from SMART that is both 3D- and high definition-ready.

The integrated SMART UF75 projector mounts to the wall directly above the interactive whiteboard and offers a throw distance of just 23.5” (59.7 cm), improving picture quality and reducing shadows and glare. The new 600i and 800i interactive whiteboard systems are now available globally and the new 400i interactive whiteboard system is now also available in the Middle East.

The new SMART Board interactive whiteboard system features a swivel projector mount, which makes installation and projector alignment quick and simple.

The system features a digital HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) port, enabling one-touch support for high-definition (HD) video and audio.

The ultra-short-throw SMART UF75 projector is also available as a retrofit for all SMART Board 600 and 800 series interactive whiteboards.

With the introduction of the fifth-generation SMART Board interactive whiteboard system, the company now offers systems with four projector options to meet the varied needs of customers – the ultra-short-throw SMART UX60 projector, which has a throw distance of only 12” (30.5 cm); the ultra-short-throw SMART UF75 and SMART UF75w, which have a 23.5” (59.7 cm) throw distance; the short-throw SMART V25, which has a throw distance of 38.5” (97.8 cm) and is available for the SMART Board 480iv interactive whiteboard system; and the short-throw SMART UF65 and SMART UF65w projectors, which have a 40” (101.6 cm) throw distance.
