Amy Adams in talks for horror


Amy Adams in talks for horrorAmy Adams has been asked to headline Mark Pellington’s newest horror movie.
Amy is in talks to star in American remake of Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona’s 2007 horror The Orphanage. Mark, whose previous works include Arlington Road and The Mothman Prophecies, will act as director.
Many members of the original film will take part in the Hollywood adaptation. The producer of the Spanish version Guillermo del Toro will lead the production. Sergio G. S?nchez, a writer on the original screenplay teamed up on this feature with Larry Fessenden who penned Wendigo and The Last Winter.
The film chronicles Laura, a woman who purchases and renovates an orphanage where she grew up into a care centre for disabled children. Laura’s adopted son Sim?n begins to play with an imaginary friend and then he suddenly disappears. In the hunt for her son, Laura uncovers the orphanage’s horrific past.
Amy plays supporting roles in her upcoming films The Muppets, which will be released this year, Man of Steel and The Master, which will both debut in 2013.
