Beyonce Knowles, Mommy to Be

The 2011 VMA’s had one pleasant surprise for millions of viewers worldwide. No, it’s not the “Jo Calderone” stunt Lady Gaga pulled, but rather wonderful news about Beyonce Knowles’ baby on the way. Beyonce Knowles and Sean- Jay Z- Carter are expecting their first child after 3 years of marriage.

Beyonce posed with her baby bump on the red carpet then later announced the news while rubbing her belly as she performed “Love On Top”. The former “Destiny’s Child” Star put an end to all the rumors that have been circling around for the past year with her surprise announcement at the awards show.

According to Billboard, sales of “4” -her upcoming album- have increased by 40% ever since the famous singer broke the news. Unfortunately, Beyonce has been working with Clint Eastwood on a remake for “A Star Is Born”, which now will be put on hold indefinitely until Beyonce gives birth.

The pop star even helped push Twitter to a new record in terms of tweets per second where 8,868 tweets were posted immediately after the announcement was made (that beats the Bin Ladendeath news, Women’s soccer final against Japan, 2011 Super Bowl, and the Royal Wedding).
